Alloy Custom Products plugs into group advantage | Features | gasworld
Indiana-based Alloy Custom Products has changed ownership a few times down the years, but now sits as part of one of the largest companies in the hydrogen industry, Plug Power. The cryogenic transport and pressure vessel business was acquired by Plug in 2022 to help to grow the acquiring company’s equipment offerings and geographical reach, but the benefit has flowed in both directions.
“Plug Power’s acquisition of Alloy was one of the smoothest to date,” Amos Daulton, Senior Director of Alloy Custom Products, tells gasworld. “Today we’re taking advantage of all the synergies and sharing best practices to improve various products and services – on all sides.”
Before being part of the wider Plug Power business, Alloy operated out of a 120,000 sq ft facility just outside of Delphi, Indiana. Today, the company is still on that same site but has added another 15,000 sq ft of manufacturing space and 20 bays for service work, as well as growing its breadth of expertise.
